Gill Eggleston is a lively, enthusiastic British textile designer & surface pattern designer with two decades of industry experience in a variety of textile design related fields.
Originally from Bolton, Lancashire (UK) Gill graduated from UMIST in 1993, with a BSc (Hons) in Textile Design and Design Management.
Her first job was as a drawing board designer with CVHF (Dorma) where her designing career flourished over a six year period. She has subsequently transitioned from purely creative roles to senior design and product development management positions gaining much industry insight.
She now specialises in freelance work in the illustration and surface pattern design sectors and has her own signature style that is relaxed, quirky and hand-drawn using a plethora of pens and scribes before being developed further using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
Currently, Gill is represented by Kimdesigns, Hunt + Gather Studio and A Fresh Bunch.
She is also about to become a contributing designer to Kess Inhouse and has licensed artwork via Kekacase.com and Quincy Lampshades and more recently is a licensed designer with Modern Yardage.
Most recently her work was published in Texitura 51 (January 2014) and will be published in Texitura 52 plus Zeixs - Pattern Design in 2014.
Her work has been presented by Believe Creative Studio at Indigo Paris 18-20 Feb for the kids apparel market and during Surtex in NYC with Sandra Jacobs.
